Mr. Howell spent 16 years with JPMorgan Chase in Texas, whereas Senior VP he managed Government Investment Banking. While at JP Morgan, Mr. Howell raised more than $3 Billion in capital; primarily for public school districts across the state. Later, he created and oversaw the Public Financial Services group at Zions Bank, and grew its tax-exempt debt portfolio to over $1 Billion. In 2007 Mr. Howell left Zions and started AcademicaNevada as its CEO. Since then he has expanded Academica’s presence to Colorado, California and Hawaii. During Mr. Howell’s tenure as CEO, Academica has developed and managed 40 schools with over 35,000 students. In building this portfolio of charter schools, Mr. Howell has raised more than 500 million of development capital. He received a BSin History from Weber State College, a JD from California Western School of Law and an MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management.
